JSMC 2009 - Pratishtha Mahotsav

GET INVOLVED, BE IN THE KNOW, HAVE FUN, MAKE FRIENDS, BE COMPETITIVE, and LEARN!

JSMC Pratishtha 2009 will be a great opportunity for youth of all ages to come together.

It will include activities such as games, movies, sports tournaments, decorating competitions and much more!

Please join us and make this event memorable and have a blast! We will be sending out opportunities to volunteer soon.

Souvenir Book- Pathshala Drawing Competition

Drawing Competition suggested Topics

Ahimsa (Non-Violence)
Jain Symbols: OH, Rhihm
Diwäli and its Importance to Jains (Jain Rituals and Festivals)
Ten cardinal virtues - Forgiveness, Charity, Simplicity, Contentment, Truthfulness, Self-restraint, Fasting, Detachment, Humility and celibacy.

Drawing Competition Rules & Regulations (Please incorporate following)

Artwork to be submitted no later than Sunday May 3^rd, 2009

Artwork to be submitted in 8 1/2 x 11 size format, with student name, age and class level.
Artwork could be hand drawn or generated on computer.
Artwork has to be in color.
Provide a synopsis of the drawing on a separate sheet of paper.
Age groups – 1. Age 12 and under 2. Age 13-25 yrs., not limited to only Pathshala students
Entry’s that are not selected for the Souvenir will be displayed in the Exhibition during Pratishtha.
Competition is open to JSMC registered families.

Judges will only know the Age Groups while selecting the final designs.

Guidelines for submitting Artwork

PDF File Guidelines: Acrobat PDF Compatible 6.0 Version or higher (preferred method)

· All fonts and images must be embedded. No Multiple Master (MM) fonts of any kind.

· All images must be 300 DPI and images should be in CMYK format. No RGB. No Index Color.

· Open and preview artwork for font, image and color accuracy.

Other formats that we accept EPS, TIFF, GIF, JPEG.

(GIF and JPEG are poor formats for printing)

· Images must be at least 300 dpi, however we recommend 600 dpi.

· Images should be in CMYK format. No RGB. No Index Color.

· Tiff, Gif and Jpeg images should be flattened.

· With EPS images outlines should be created around all text.
